Chief Operating Officer
Michelle started with the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in 2020. Some of Michelle’s responsibilities include fulfilling the role of secretary/treasurer for the Corporation and Belgian Alliance, managing/coordinating projects, and communicating through social media, the website, public events and mail. Michelle attends around 8 events each year including sales, shows, and meetings. Her favorite part of her role is traveling to events and meeting members. Before accepting the COO position, Michelle received her degree from Indiana State University in Health and Business Administration. She also worked as an Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator for a nonprofit organization before accepting her current role. Michelle has a passion for the equine industry. She has shown Buckskin and Quarter horses all her life. Along with showing horses, she enjoys spending time traveling with her husband, Ryan and daughter.
Leslie started working at Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in January 2015. She worked as an office manager at Big R before joining the Corporation. She enjoys the daily operations in the office and working with Jasmine and Michelle, as well as hearing from the members. Leslie is responsible for helping process over 2,400 registrations and 2,100 transfers that come in annually. She also processes DNA, membership paperwork and answers registry questions over the phone. When she’s not working, Leslie is usually spending time with her husband watching their two boys in sporting events, fishing, or playing with their three dogs.
Jasmine joined Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in February 2020. Prior, she worked at Big R, as the Assistant Store Manager, for 5 years. Jasmine has an Associates of Science in Veterinary Technology from the Vet Tech Institute and a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Behavior from the University of New England. She enjoys not only talking with the members, but also learning about them and their horses. Outside of the office, Jasmine loves spending time with her family, going to museums and zoos with her husband and daughter, and reading.
