Chief Operating Officer
Jenna started with the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in 2015. Some of Jenna’s responsibilities include fulfilling the role of secretary/treasurer for the Corporation and Belgian Alliance, managing projects and communicating through social media, the website, public events and through good old fashioned mail. Jenna attend’s around 8 events each year including sales, shows and meetings. She enjoys meeting the membership, answering questions and taking feedback to the board of directors. Before accepting the COO position Jenna worked for the National FFA Organization as an educational specialist for Career Development Events. She also taught agriculture for a few years in Arizona. Jenna has experience working with volunteers and coordinating committees. She is a certified parliamentarian. Jenna has a passion for youth education and advocating for agriculture. Jenna loves spending time with her two boys and her husband, Mark. They can often be found going on adventures in the woods or going on a jog through town.
Leslie started working at Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in January 2015. She worked as an office manager at Big R stores before joining the office staff here. She enjoys the daily operations in the officeand working with Brandy and Jenna, as well as hearing from the members. Leslie is responsible for helping processing the over 2,400 registrations and 2,100 transfers that come in annually. She also processes DNA, membership paperwork and answers registry questions over the phone. When she’s not working, Leslie is usually spending time with her husband watching their two boys in sporting events, fishing, or playing with their three dogs.
Brandy is the newest member of the staff as of February 2019. She joins Leslie in processing registrations, transfers, and any work coming into the office. Brandy processes paperwork from horse auctions and communicates with the auction representatives. She inputs test results (such as DNA, JEB) into the corporation registry based on bylaw requirements. Prior to coming to the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation she worked many years in healthcare insurance billing and also operates a small resale business. Brandy has 3 children, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren and three dogs. She enjoys watching her children’s volleyball and baseball events, spending time with family and friends, thrift shopping, and kayaking. Evelynn started interning for the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation in 2019. She is a senior at Wabash High School and plans to go to college for business at Indiana University or Ball State University. Evelynn enters show results for the Belgian Review, helps around the office, and edits the Corporation’s website. She also helps with social media and edits the videos shown at the Corporation booth that travels to sales and shows. She enjoys her internship because it allows her to explore the business world and learn many new things that will benefit her when it comes to her future career. Outside of her internship Evelynn plays three sports, is a 10 year member in 4-H, and is a part of many school clubs.
